Vortex has produced Level 1-3 Traffic Impact Studies with our partners for numerous projects. We’ve completed numerous traffic engineering and highway design projects in Colorado. We collect site specific data for vehicle/pedestrian traffic counts and calculate trip generation, distribution and assignments. Our wetland experts and environmental scientists conduct thorough and extensive site-specific wetland review and boundary confirmation analysis when wetlands are involved in a project. Compliance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act is ensured through accurate field investigation to document natural and irrigated hydrology conditions, collect site samples, document existing and dominate vegetation and soil types. We assist clients with permitting through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers when needed.

Our professional engineers utilize a comprehensive design strategy for maintaining predevelopment runoff characteristics and protecting natural resources known as Environmental Site Design, which relies on integrating site design, natural hydrology and smaller control devices to capture and treat runoff.
